Diabetes in School Award
The global pandemic has affected so many events that we had planned and booked; one of these events was the second presentation of the Good Diabetes Care in School Award by Diabetes UK. This acknowledgement and celebration was originally scheduled for an assembly back in March! Sadly, as time has moved forward, we have not been able to welcome our visitor, however we wanted to share Celebrating our Award with you what it all means. Being a Good Diabetes Care in School Award holder puts Thatcham Park in a unique position in that we provide excellent care for children with type 1 diabetes in our school. This is a tremendous accolade to the staff who are trained and provide consistent care in partnership with parents; at the centre of everything we do is the child.
