Daily Collective Worship
Rooted in our vision
Collective Worship is at the heart of life at Thatcham Park. It brings our community together to live out our vision:
“Encourage one another and build each other up” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
Through worship, we reflect on how we treat one another, celebrate achievements, learn from challenges, and grow together as a caring community.
Inclusive, invitational and inspiring
Our worship is open to everyone, whatever their background or belief. It is designed to be inclusive, invitational and inspiring, offering time to reflect, think deeply and, for those who wish, to pray.
A rich range of worship experiences
Worship at Thatcham Park happens in a variety of ways across the week. Children gather together in the hall, reflect in their classrooms, and sometimes worship in church. We mark key moments in the Christian year, alongside important events in school life.
Living out our values
Collective Worship helps children explore and practise our school values of community, compassion, respect, wisdom, thankfulness and endurance.
It gives them time to consider big questions, reflect on their choices and think about how they can encourage others and make a positive difference.
Growing together
Through Collective Worship, children develop a sense of belonging and purpose. They learn to listen, reflect and respond thoughtfully, building the confidence to express their beliefs and values.
Above all, worship strengthens our shared commitment to being a community where everyone is supported to flourish.
