The school has strong links with both local churches: St Mary's and St Barnabas.

Strong partnerships with our local churches play a vital role in the life of Thatcham Park. We work closely with our church community to enrich the spiritual development of our pupils and to ensure that our Christian vision is lived out in meaningful and authentic ways.

Our school has close links with St Barnabas Church, which meets within our school building, and with St Mary’s Church, where we gather for termly services and special celebrations. These shared experiences provide pupils with meaningful opportunities to come together in worship, reflection and celebration as part of a wider community.

Local clergy are actively involved in the life of the school, supporting collective worship and contributing to governance. This helps to deepen pupils’ understanding of faith and ensures that worship is both inclusive and relevant, enabling all pupils—whatever their background—to engage in ways that are meaningful to them.

Wild Worship offers opportunities for pupils to explore spirituality through reflection and connection with the natural world. Together, these experiences allow pupils to encounter a range of worship styles and deepen their understanding of faith, supporting their spiritual growth over time.

Through these strong and supportive partnerships, pupils develop a sense of belonging within both the school and the wider community. They learn the value of respect, reflection and shared experience, living out our vision of encouraging one another and building each other up.
