Vintage Adventure
Vintage Adventure
Our involvement in Vintage Adventure reflects our commitment to serving and connecting with our local community. This inclusive, dementia‑friendly gathering in Thatcham brings together people of all ages for a time of friendship, shared activity and informal Christian worship. Through singing, conversation, creative activities and simply spending time together, pupils and adults experience the joy of building meaningful relationships across generations.
Led by Churches Together in Thatcham, Vintage Adventure provides a welcoming and supportive space where everyone is valued and included. Pupils who take part develop confidence, empathy and social awareness as they engage with members of the community, learning the importance of kindness, listening and service. These encounters help pupils to understand that even small acts — such as conversation, encouragement or sharing time together — can have a powerful impact on others.
This work is a lived expression of our vision to encourage one another and build each other up. By participating in Vintage Adventure, pupils grow in compassion and responsibility, recognising their role in contributing positively to the lives of others. As a result, they develop a deeper sense of belonging within the community and an increasing commitment to living out values of respect, dignity and care in the wider world.
