Pupil Premium
We aim to provide the highest standard of education in a caring, safe and supportive environment for learning, seeking to promote the success of pupils of all abilities and needs.
Within the Christian ethos of our school, we are committed to developing academic excellence, physical well-being, social and emotional growth and spiritual awareness of all the children.
With children, staff, Governors and parents and carers working together, our school is at the heart of the community it serves.
We believe therefore that no child should be disadvantaged due to circumstances and to this end have targeted provision in place to ensure achievement for all.
Allocation
The Pupil Premium is allocated to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and close the gap between them and their peers. It is paid to schools according to the number of pupils who:
- have been registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years
- have been Looked After for one day or more, including those who have been adopted from care or
- leave care under special guardianship or residency orders
- are of a Service Family, including those whose parents are now divorced or where a parent has died in service.
Planned Provision
- Support and early intervention in Foundation and KS1.
- Literacy and Numeracy support in class, intervention groups and 1-1 tuition as identified at pupil progress reviews.
- Funded places at before school care.
- Additional financial support and the provision of resources to meet identified needs.
- Emotional Literacy support for children and families through the provision of [FSSW] Family School Support Workers and Emotional Literacy Support Assistants [ELSA].
- Support with funding places for residentials, day trips and other extra curricular experiences.
